A Winter Wedding at the Barn on Willis Branch

It was our first time at Willis Branch but we immediately understood why Kayla & Joe fell in love with the venue. The rolling hills, beautiful ceremony space, and quaint barn are absolutely perfect for an intimate southern wedding. The staff and coordinating team on site is wonderful to work with and made the day so smooth for the couple, even with the rain.

There is a petite cottage for the bride & her ladies to get ready in at the Barn. It’s seriously the most charming space and was perfect for Kayla, her mom, & her maid of honor to get ready at. They also have a converted horse trailer for the groom and his guys to hang out in! We had such a splendid time with the girls as they began to get ready, Kayla pulled out all of her beautiful details and we immediately fell in love with everything – especially her belt for her stunning Hayley Paige dress!

Fall has finally arrived and the weather has been ranging from warm to rain, which is exactly what Joe & Kayla’s wedding day was. The rain began to drizzle shortly after they arrived & didn’t let up except for their ceremony. The skies let up and allowed the happy couple to have their dream wedding overlooking the beautiful rolling hills just as the sun began to set. This was one of the most beautiful ceremony locations we have seen and we absolutely adore the way that Kayla & Branching Out designed the floral arrangements decorating the couples ceremony. Kayla’s grandfather walked her down the aisle, it was such a precious moment.

Receptions are such a fun time of the day. We really enjoyed that Kayla had the opportunity to dance with her mother during the parents dances. And their gorgeous naked cake from Dulce Desserts was not only beautifully designed but also incredibly delicious! They totally knocked it out of the park & the cake design fit perfectly with Kayla’s vision for a classic, elegant rustic setting.

Kayla & Joe opted not to have a first look and instead waited to do their couples portraits until after the reception was finishing up. One of the things we really enjoy about a wedding day is how unique it is and how easily we are able to adapt and create a timeline that best fits our couples needed and desires on their wedding day. It worked our best for them that we do all of the photos after sunset, we are really enjoying the romantic fairytale look to their couples portraits. Definitely a different style from most of our weekends, and such a fun and unique look!
