OUR FAVORITE GILMORE GIRLS INSPIRED SWAG

Okay, y’all, I went through middle school & high school watching Rory Gilmore. We were very similar in age, and I might have lived a little vicariously through her adventures. Afterall, even though I wish I lived in a charmingly quirky town like Stars Hollow, I spent my teen years in the suburbs of Portland. In all truth, unlike Rory I had zero desire to go to Yale or Harvard, ha! But, I loved spending time with my nose in a book, spending time with my best friend and most of all – talking way, way too fast. Fortunately, my years living in the south have now slowed down my dictation… a little.

The years after the Gilmore’s bid their final farewells to their fans, I hoped and wished for just 1 reprisal of their charming & hysterical antics. With Veronica Mars getting her long awaited movie followup I became more anxious at the prospect of once again returning to Lukes Diner. When it finally came time and the world was told of Gilmore Girls : A Year in the Life I could hardly believe it. In the months following the initial media coverage I waited with the anticipation of a child on Christmas morning. And, when it finally hit Netflix, I was too excited to watch. Seriously. It was weeks before I finally let myself watch the first installment. I wanted to cherish every word, every character, every anecdote. So, I didn’t binge watch the 4 seasons. Nope, I showed true strength and spread them out over several days. When the last words were finally uttered I was left wanting more, but also happy. Sure, there were countless things that I would have changed but I was simply too happy to have had the chance to see Lauren Graham & Alexis Bledel reprise their roles as mother and daughter, I simply couldn’t complain.

So, of course, like any silly fan girl, I spent the next few nights scouring the internet and finding all of this wonderful Gilmore Girls inspired swag that I seem to think I need in my life. Ha! In truth, my awesome sister, Peyton, bought me a In Omnia Paratus t-shirt for Christmas. You’ve probably seen me wearing it, because I’m obsessed & it’s already been washed like 30+times, haha. #noshame
