A Rustic Elegant Wedding at Iriswoods

Talk about country lovin’… We absolutely loved photographing Ginger  and Robert’s elegant southern wedding, which was filled with love and laughter on the bucolic rolling farmland of Iriswoods, located just south of Nashville in Mt. Juliet. Ginger was stunning in a flared, lace-and-sequined mermaid gown from The White Room in Lebanon, while Robert’s classic khaki and white made him the picture of a Southern gentleman. And adding a touch of sweetness was Ginger’s daughter Caydence, who sprinkled petals in a delightful creamy blush organza princess gown just before her mama walked down the aisle. Finally, the entire wedding party was perfectly accented by exquisite cream and rose floral arrangements created by Amber Graves and Ashley Kessler of Southern Belles and Blooms.

We knew from our engagement session last spring that Ginger and Robert were absolutely in love with the countryside and that Iriswoods would provide the perfect venue to showcase the rustic wedding of their dreams! (And, by the way, our hats are off to Iriswood’s delightful owners Babs and Dale, who were on hand to make certain every detail was taken care of!) And of course, we always love weddings at this picturesque venue because there’s gorgeous scenery no matter where you look! Its rolling hills dotted with cows, turn of the century historic log home, chic bridal suite, and a secluded hay barn, all provided perfect backdrops for the down home feel this couple was after! And just before twilight… omigosh… we wasted no time creating Ginger and Robert’s stunning bride and groom sunset portraits just as the last rays peeked over the horizon.
Around 150 guests enjoyed a scrumptious Mexican-inspired feast and a rocking dance party emceed by Fadds Entertainment that followed outdoors under the tent. Congratulations Twardzik’s on the wedding of your dreams!

    Iriswoods is one of my favorite wedding venues in Mt. Juliet. I love how you juxtaposed all the softness and warm light against the rustic cooler tones of the venue itself. It just made everything POP in your images! What a beautiful gallery!!
