A WINTER WEDDING AT STONES RIVER COUNTRY CLUB
Mia & Justin met at Middle Tennessee State University and immediately had so much in common – particularly their love for farm land. Justin has been working his families land for his whole life as has Mia. She is also a member of Sigma Alpha, the national agricultural sorority. Y’all probably remember their spring engagement session earlier this year that was featured on Enchanted Brides.
When we first met with Mia and her mother to discuss the wedding day they were so excited about the ceremony at their family church. They knew that a December wedding would be perfect for highlighting special seasonal decor such as Christmas trees with white lights, holly berries and the gorgeous magnolia leaves that are seen in their reception centerpieces. It was so exciting to finally see their vision all come together for the wedding day!
On the wedding day we met up with the girls in Woodbury, they were getting ready at Mia’s grandmothers house. I was totally swooning over her details, especially that stunning Bella Vince Camuto perfume bottle and their sweet classic wedding rings. While the girls finished getting their makeup applied we headed to Woodbury Baptist Church to photograph the guys getting ready. The girls followed us not to long after and we took some absolutely beautiful photos of Mia getting into her dress. Seriously, you’re going to love the detail photo of the back of her dress with all of the intricate buttons. Mia had very few photo requests on the wedding day but one of them was a portrait that all of the women in her family have taken on their wedding day for several generations. We stepped outside with the girls, who were rockstars braving to chilly winter wind, and took some fun photos. Including her 2nd and final special request – a photo of her with her other engaged bridesmaids and her sister in the background eating Cheetos. Oh my goodness, easily one of the most hysterical photos we have taken on a wedding day!
After their ceremony we slipped outside after dark to take some photos of Justin and Mia before we came back inside for family photos. Once we captured all the family images that they wanted we got to take some super fun wedding party photos before we all drove into Murfreesboro for the country club reception. We always have such a wonderful time when at weddings at Stones River, the staff is so incredibly sweet, the food is delicious, and the reception ballroom has an incredible view! We had a wonderful night with their family and friends and are so thrilled with all of the photos that we took for their wedding day!
