Lovers Lane Ceremony at Grace Valley Farm

Hoorayyy! We’re back out at the ever fabulous Grace Valley Farm in Shelbyville. With the spring weather shining through we were thrilled to be able to spend a lot of the day at one of Kristin & Brent’s favorite spots of the venue, Lovers Lane. Brent is originally from Columbia, TN while Kristin is from Ohio. The two met at a Murfreesboro staple where Kristin was working, Coconut Bay. They’ve been together for quite some time and their friends & family were so excited that they were finally tying the knot!
To say I’m obsessed with this couples wedding details would be a huge understatement. Kristin’s hairpiece is beautiful and matched her clutch perfectly. But, my favorite little element were the black and white family photos that she had attached to her bouquet. I love when couples personalize their florals with small details like pictures, a handkerchief, pearls, or their sorority pin! Kristin had these beautiful custom hangers for each of her girls dresses to hang on. And she gifted a handwritten handkerchief to her mother which literally made both of them start to tear up. Her father received one as well alongside a pair of cufflinks that read I loved her first. Brent helped him put them on and it was such a touching moment with Kristin standing alongside two of the most important men in her life.

Knowing that they love the setting of Lovers Lane I wanted to have them share their first look together where they will be saying their vows. The way that Brent looked at Kristin when he first turned around, ahhh, so incredibly sweet! You could just tell they both needed that moment together, just the two of them, to soak in the moment and the day that they have been planning for so long. Following their first look we headed to the Secret Garden for more couples portraits. The lighting in the fields was literally a dream and so perfect for them! We were joined back at Lovers Lane with the rest of the bridal party for more photos before the ceremony began. They have a really fun group which made for a fantastic day together!
We have known Penny Haas, their planner, for several years and were so honored that she recommended her friends, Kristin & Brent, come to us for their wedding day coverage. And having Penny there helping with the planning and coordinating of the day was so wonderful, she is seasoned in the event industry and is amazing at making a day run smoothly! Plus, y’all, Kristin & I both couldn’t stop raving about how stunning her & Brent’s sweetheart table was! Totally dreamy! That paired with the other design elements of their reception made for an elegant yet relaxed setting that their guests truly enjoyed. In between the dancing and delicious catering from The Bell Buckle Cafe we were able to slip away with the newlyweds for some stunning sunset photos near the lake.
