WEDDING RECEPTION EXITS

We recently counted how many couples’ wedding days we’ve been a part of and by the end of this year we’ll be have been a part of over 80 couples’ best day ever! So, needless to say, we’ve seen a lot of amazing wedding reception & ceremony exits & we’ve found that breaking it down into time of day is what makes all the difference when deciding a reception exit. If you are having an early exit before sundown, nix the sparklers and consider something such as fresh flower petals or bubbles.

Here’s our breakdown of our favorite wedding reception exits & why we love them.

  1. DAYTIME
    1. Flower Petals – these are SO fun for guests, absolutely beautiful in photos & you can possibly even reuse some of the flowers from your ceremony to toss.
    2. Ribbon Wands – these are simple to diy and the guests, especially the younger kids love to play with the fairytale wands
    3. Streamers & Confetti Poppers – let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a confetti popper?! Be sure to order water soluble confetti so it immediately dissolves with water contact. Biodegradable won’t cut it & your venue won’t be thrilled.
    4. Bam Bam Sticks – perfect for the sports loving couples, plus these are super fun for the guests both at night & during the day
    5. Pom Poms, Flags & Foam Fingers – college sweethearts? Show your school spirit with cute sports flags & pom poms.
    6. Noise Makers & Maracas – let your guests makes some noise & celebrate the two of you!
    7. Bubbles – always say yes to bubbles!! bonus, we recommend getting the large bubble wands, ya know, the ones the kids love. You can still get some smaller ones but the large wands make amazing bubbles that photograph beautifully!
  2. NIGHTTIME
    1. Sparklers – some people think sparklers are overplayed at weddings, but we absolutely loooove them. They look beautiful in photos and guests love them.
    2. Glow Sticks – if your venue doesn’t allow for sparklers, consider using glow sticks… but be sure to get the right kind! Select long necklace glow sticks for your guests to waive around.
    3. Fireworks – wow your guests with a firework send off
