Winter Church Ceremony - Murfreesboro Wedding

Nicole and John wanted to create a wedding day that focused entirely on them and their love for one another, their Church, and God. They wanted to be fully intentional with their wedding and I definitely feel that they achieved a wedding day that was intentional. So, for their Murfreesboro Wedding they knew that they wanted to have an intimate ceremony and reception both held at their church, The Church of the Holy Cross. John and Nicole met while they were attending Church of the Holy Cross, a small stone Episcopal church on Cason Lane in Murfreesboro. After they shared a friendship for about 8 months they finally realized that they were drawn to one another as more than simply friends and began to date. Their full Episcopal wedding service resembles a Catholic wedding mass and was filled with readings and music that celebrated them & they hand selected.

After their early afternoon ceremony they celebrated with their friends and family at a small church reception. Their church reception was organized by their church “grandmothers” and consisted of cake & punch, light refreshments, & visiting with guests, and entirely intentional in how they wanted to celebrate their union among the people they love and cherish. Nicole and John spoke to us about how their simple wedding seems counter-cultural nowadays but reminded us that this is the way that most everyone used to be married. And we loved the simplicity and elegance in that thought. That the wedding was focused on the couple and the Church. And they brought this traditional ceremony into our era. Oh, and did we mention that they love cats? So do we!
