KIRSTIN + JAMIE

When Kirstin first got engaged she reached out to be about photographing her and Jamie’s wedding, I was overwhelmingly excited for her & even more thrilled to be headed Montana for their engagement photos only a few weeks later.
Y’all see that beautiful big brick house? That’s my sorority’s chapter home in Bozeman, where I attended school with Kirstin at Montana State University. Jamie is in Alpha Gamma Rho and Kirstin is an Alpha Omicron Pi girl, like myself, so I wanted to feature both of their college years in some of their photos before heading up to the mountains for more of their session. I was so glad to be able to join them in Bozeman while there was so much snow on the ground because their wedding is this August so they likely won’t have too much snow.
After our time on the MSU campus we headed towards Three Forks, Montana to Headwater Ranch which is where they are getting married later this year. This is such a cool venue! I have never been in a circular barn like this before! And all of the twinkle lights paired with the mountain caps – don’t mind me, I’m just totally swooning over here!
Seeing as how they are both in the Greek system at MSU, you likely presumed that’d how Kirstin & Jamie met, right? They actually met downtown at The Pour House bar and grill. On our way back into Bozeman we stopped at Ted’s Montana Grill for dinner before taking some night time on Main Street featuring some of the iconic buildings like the Baxter Hotel, the Rialto, and the Pour House! As a light snowfall began to drift down, it was truly picturesque. I simply can not wait to be back in Montana for their wedding this summer!
