Graduation season at Middle Tennessee State University is always buzzing with excitement, but Natalie’s session stood out for its elegance, school spirit, and personal touches that celebrated every facet of her college career.
A proud graduate of the College of Media and Entertainment, Natalie’s time at MTSU was filled with achievement, involvement, and community. She wasn’t just a student — she was a member of the MTSU Dance Team and a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi. Her graduation photos perfectly reflected that vibrant, well-rounded college experience.
Two Outfits, Three Stoles, Endless Memories
Natalie chose a full senior photography session so we could explore multiple locations on campus and showcase her different looks.
We started the afternoon in a white dress that paired beautifully with her first two stoles — one for the MTSU Dance Team (custom-made by her mom) and another representing Alpha Omicron Pi. Both stoles added meaningful pops of color and symbolism to her portraits, honoring two organizations that were central to her college journey.
Later, Natalie changed into a sleek black dress for a more formal, polished look. This outfit highlighted her third stole for the College of Media and Entertainment, tying the entire session back to her academic achievements.

School Spirit at the Blue Horseshoe
Our first stop was the iconic blue horseshoe — a campus landmark brimming with MTSU pride. We also stopped by Raider’s Walk, which is a memorable spot for Natalie with to walk on game days. The bold blue color against Natalie’s white dress and vibrant stoles made for striking, high-energy portraits that celebrated her Raider spirit.
From there, we explored other parts of campus for relaxed, candid shots. These in-between moments often end up being favorites, capturing the graduate laughing, walking, or interacting with the campus that’s been such a big part of their life.
Joyful Moments at the University Seal & Library
After her outfit change, we moved to the university seal in front of the James E. Walker Library. This location is steeped in tradition — students avoid stepping on the seal before graduation, saving that moment for when they’ve earned their degree. It’s always fun seeing the senior step on it for the first time during their photos!
Natalie stood confidently at the seal in her black dress and College of Media and Entertainment stole, radiating pride and accomplishment. The seal’s intricate design and the library’s clean lines gave her portraits a timeless, formal feel. Her personality radiates through every image.
We wrapped the session on the library steps, taking both classic posed images and softer, candid shots as the afternoon light filtered through the trees. Without a cap and gown, the focus stayed on Natalie herself — her style, her accomplishments, and her vibrant personality.
Celebrating Involvement & Achievement
What made Natalie’s session so special was the way it honored all aspects of her time at MTSU.
