WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR FLOWERS AFTER THE WEDDING
After the last guest leaves your reception and the cleanup begins, one of the biggest wastes we see is gorgeous flower arrangements being tossed into trash cans. Some family will take a few arrangements home, but with you leaving for your honeymoon their is no practical way for you to enjoy all of the beautiful arrangements. There are so amazing alternative options such as having your flowers donated. We wish we had known about these great ideas for our own wedding!
- DONATE YOUR FLOWERS LOCALLY – Find a local places such as Veteran Affairs, a retirement community, another wedding, funeral home, or the hospital who will take a floral donation.
- REPEAT ROSES – Don’t have time to take them to a local charity or location? Find a company like Repeat Roses to help ensure your flowers bring more hope & love to others.
- PRESERVE YOUR BOUQUET – There are online companies such as, Timeless Flowers, that you can send your bouquet to. We recommend finding a local artist who can preserve your arrangement in either a shadowbox or something fun & unique such as potpourri or in a candle. There’s also the good old DIY option of simply hanging the bouquet upside down and waiting for it to dry.
Don’t be like us! Be smart & know options for sharing your flowers after the wedding day. Spread some love, smiles, and joy to others.
I just heard of options like this a year ago! I think it’s such a sweet idea to let your flowers serve someone else!
Whoever first came up with this idea was a genius! Recognizing such an obvious yet ingenious way to recycle!
Love this!! Whenever I do a styled shoot, I usually donate our flowers to an old-folks home, and they always LOVE it! 🙂
That’s cause you’re amazing Misty!!! Thanks for sharing this idea! I didn’t even think about styled shoots!
What a great post!! I love these suggestions.
I hope they help people bring some joy to others.

Thanks Joanna!
What a fun post- never would have thought about these!
It wasn’t something we thought about until a bride asked us & I did some research!
