Welcome to another installment of Feature Friday, in which we share with you some of our favorite Movies & TV shows! When we first were dating one of the things we bonded over was chatting about some of our favorite shows. We’ve found that is the same for a lot of our couples too! So, every now and then, we will showcase a different movie or show and share some of the reasons why we recommend it and the things that we really like about it. This week: You Again

This is one of my favorite Kristin Bell movies — and trust me, that’s a tough list to narrow down. Not only is the ever delightful Kristin Bell in this movie but there are so many other amazing actors that you know & love. Like Betty White. That’s right, I said Betty White! Cause who doesn’t want more Betty in their life?! More notable cast include Kristin Chenoweth, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, & Victor Garber

You Again was released in 2010 and flew under the radar. A lot of critics didn’t love it but I consider it a hidden gem, but I do enjoy a comedy with a fun cast. This definitely isn’t a heavy movie, it’s a lighthearted dramatic comedy that makes for a very chill night.

So, what’s the movie about? The opening of the film shows Kristin Bell’s character, Marni, during her awkward youth years in high school being tormented by the other students who soaked in the limelight. But don’t worry, it’s not a high school drama, because we quickly flash forward to 8 years in the future when she has more confidence, a dream job, and a life she is very proud of. But, she has to head back to her childhood stomping grounds for her big brothers wedding. And that’s where things start to get interesting.

Basically, if you’re wanting a breezy night in with some comedic drama and you think watching Betty White swinging from fabric sounds entertaining then I totally recommend you check this movie out!
