ROB + SARAH
RAVENSWOOD MANSION | FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE
Early morning weddings are so unique! When we first met with Sarah and her mother to discuss wedding plans, we couldn’t help but be mesmerized as they began talking about the vision for the wedding day. One of the most unique parts of the wedding day was their choice to have a sweet intimate brunch instead of a more traditional dinner. It was so fitting for Rob and Sarah to choose this style of wedding as it fit so perfectly with their personalities.
On the morning of the wedding, the church was filled with love and joy as the girls were getting ready in the bridal suite. Sarah was absolutely radiant and could not wait to marry her best friend. Rob was so excited that it was finally their wedding day. The sanctuary itself was absolutely beautiful, with all of the natural light coming in from the windows contrasted beautifully with the dark wood & the bright airy tile.
For the reception, the couple chose Ravenswood Mansion in Franklin, Tennessee. One of our very favorite parts about their reception was how they styled it to reflect their lifestyle and the things they love. From the vintage decor, to the coffee cart, and interactive trivia games this celebration was 100% a reflection of them. We absolutely adored all the whimsical vintage decorations provided by Two Vintage Monkeys. We could not imagine a more perfect wedding style for the two of them than this brunch wedding.
Everyone was so excited to learn where the couple would be headed for their honeymoon. Not even the bride knew where she was going! Not from lack of planning, but in fact, quite the opposite. Rob had secretly planned every last detail pf the honeymoon to surprise his new bride. Together, Rob and Sarah’s sister packed her suitcase for the surprise getaway. And what an absolute adventure they were about to embark on together! As soon as their car pulled away, Rob’s mother couldn’t wait to quietly announce where the happy couple was headed. Highlights included a quiet romantic honeymoon in the Nashville area followed by a whirlwind trip which included Europe he could not have planned a more perfect honeymoon for the two of them. Sarah is definitely one lucky wife!
Sarah had so many wonderful girlfriends that she wanted included in her wedding party. When she read about a house party as an alternative bridesmaid option in the Southern Weddings, she knew it was the perfect choice for her and her girls. This fun southern tradition is definitely something to check out for your own wedding day. And, seriously, how much fun are these ladies?!
Heading out from the reception, Sarah opted to switch out of her wedding gown into a cute white dress for their exit. We absolutely love this idea! It’s such a great way to surprise your guests and a lot easier for your husband to get you into the car, haha.
