These two are so adorable together and their gorgeous fall wedding at Samary Plantation was made all the more fun with each rescue puppy! That’s right, they included puppies in their wedding! Kyla emailed us inquiring if we would be willing to add dogs into their wedding photos. To which we enthusiastically said yes to! One of the very important things in their relationship is their dogs, and pet rescue is something that they are passionate about. They worked with Paws Angels Dog Rescue, who were amazing, to have the puppy dogs brought to the plantation for photos.
When we first arrived, Kyla & her bridesmaids were all getting ready in historic cabin. Kyla & all of her ladies are from Canada, as is Kyla’s entire family. It was a fun destination wedding for them to visit Nashville. As much as they love Kyla & Matthew, it became pretty clear they were equally as ecstatic about snuggling puppies, haha. While the girls finished hair and makeup, the men were putting together their creativity together to make custom boutonnieres of hay & cotton. The southern inspired boutonniere complimented their grey tweed vests, dark wash jeans, and bowties. It was a classy contemporary style groomsmen look which looked great against the rolling hills of the historic venue.
Samary Plantation is a very large historical venue in Eagleville. One of the unique things that this space has is various ceremony locations. Kyla & Matthew selected the ceremony site near the classic red barn with a gorgeous view of the hills and horses. The way that the sun was streaming through the trees was beautiful. Kyla and her bridesmaids carried vibrant colorful fall flowers featuring sunflowers and bright florals.
This was one of the most lively receptions we’ve seen this year. They have friends and family who absolutely crush it on the dance floor, which makes sense with half of them coming from another country for the celebration. While they loved ones were busy dancing, we slipped outside into the chilly weather for some stunning night portraits, including a cool retro vintage teal truck.
