JUSTIN + KC | married
Standing Stone State Park Knoxville Tennessee
We first met with KC & Justin through the wonderful world of technology. Since they live out near Knoxville and we’re in Murfreesboro it was much easier to chat with them via Skype. We all immediately got along and knew we would have a ton of fun on the wedding day. A few month before the wedding we made a trip out to Standing Stone to take their engagement photos and see what they had planned for their special day.
Just as the ceremony was about to begin the skies opened and it began to pour. Like torrential down-pouring, flood warnings pour. But that wasn’t about to stop them. They love the outdoors and were happy to embrace the weather. It was actually magical. It rained from the start of the ceremony until the end.
They said if it rains on your wedding day it is good luck. We’ll these two are extremely lucky.
KC & Justin created this super cute ceremony programs in lieu of a traditional one. They doubled as fans too! And the Wedding Bingo is such a fun idea.
KC was absolutely gorgeous. Her dress was perfect for her. It was simple and elegant, just like she is. We couldn’t have thought of a more fitting and complimenting dress for her to have worn. It accentuated her natural beauty & didn’t distract from the beautiful Tennessee outdoors of Standing Stone.
KC made these awesome paintings as a gift for her fiance. The paintings are of her & Justin’s voiced saying ‘I Love You’. How incredibly sweet is this?!
And as if KC being crafty wasn’t enough, Justin is equally so! He made this sweet little box with an etching of her initials & inside was jewelry.
TKC was absolutely shocked by what he had created for her!
If this isn’t reason enough to have a first look, we don’t know what is. Justin’s reaction to KC was priceless. He was blown away by his soon-to-be-wife. It was a great choice to do a first look too since it rained during the ceremony they have plenty of photos of the two of them all dolled up before the rain hit.
Along with the sweet box he made his fiance, Justin also created this gift boxes for his groomsmen and filled them with special little gifts unique to each of his guys.
Ok, if you are considering having lawn games at your reception & cocktail hour we wholeheartedly say DO IT!! Standing Stone actually had this lifesize Jenga there for guests to use. And they definitely had fun playing. All of the guests gathered around to watch the epic Jenga game that lasted about 45 minutes!
Their cake was delicious!! All of the fresh berries were divine. We love the new naked cake look! And with how much KC & Justin adore the natural simplistic look it was the perfect choice cake for their Standing Stone wedding.
KC & Justin honeymooned in the Dominican Republic
And you can’t miss KC’s wedding shoes. Purple Converse with her new last name. A sweet and personal little touch.
