A Classic Southern Wedding at Saddle Woods

We were so ecstatic to be spending the day with Jessica & Taylor. They are so incredibly sweet and just an absolute blast to be around. Jessica’s smile is so radiant and with just one small glance you can see how deeply she loves Taylor. And he, clearly, could not be more happy to call her his wife. When we arrived at Saddle Woods we immediately understood why they fell in love with the space and wanted to tie the knot there.

Jessica had all of her girls in this super cute shirts that had personalized monograms. We always recommend wearing a buttondown shirt during the getting ready process so it’s super easy to slip out of and into your dress flawlessly without brushing against your hair & makeup.One of the things we love about Saddle Woods is that they have a fabulous space for both the bride & her ladies to get ready as well as the groom & his guys. And both of the spaces are huge! The gentlemen have a patio space, living room, a billiards room, and more! The girls have a kitchen, spacious living room, and a secondary sitting room that is perfect for hair and makeup.

We had an absolute blast with the guys during groomsmen portraits! Taylor could not have picked a better group of men to be standing beside him on his wedding day. The flasks that he got the guys were a big hit!Taylor and Jessica opted to not do a first look and to instead do a traditional ceremony. And his reaction to seeing his almost-wife walk down the aisle was absolutely priceless. The instant she emerged from the barn with her father, Taylor immediately broke down. It was such a sweet moment that made the entire family tear up.

After the ceremony we headed to the front of the farm for photos of the two of them. We adore the portraits with the beautiful classic white fences surrounding them.Taylor is a firefighter so we were thrilled to be able to incorporate the firetruck into their portraits. It’s such a person touch to their lives. We captures some photos in front of the firetruck during the daylight & then slipped away in the evening for a few more with the lights turned on.

The guest favors were these cute little custom drink cozies. We love the slogan on the back ‘Cheers to the firefighter and his flame’. In the background you can see the awesome guestbook that they had! It is a wrapped firehose in a wooden frame that allowed guests to write on the canvas hose. Such a cool guestbook for a firefighter & his new wife!

Inside the barn at Saddle Woods is absolutely stunning. Rustic elegance. Taylor cut his groomscake (a firefighters hose) with an ax. The ax had their names and wedding dates on it. How sweet is that?This was such a fabulous way to end the evening. We slipped away, just the 4 of us, shortly before the reception ended to take some beautiful night portraits featuring the firetruck. We absolutely love the way these turned out!
