Spring Engagement session in Nashville with Fishing

A SPRINGTIME FISHING ENGAGEMENT

ENGAGEMENT

May 31, 2017

DEANNA + CODY | NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

One of the things we love most about living in Tennessee is its seemingly endless supply of beautiful places to capture on camera.  We had never been to Cane Creek Park before DeAnna and Cody had us come out to shoot their engagement shoot and we absolutely loved the location that they selected. It was important to the two of them as they often will visit the park together.
It didn’t take long for our attention to switch from the gorgeous setting to the adorable couple (and their little dog too!). Along with their sweet pup, DeAnna’s parents also came along so they could puppy sit for the photos that were just of the two of them. We had a great time chatting with her mom about the wedding and her dad has a background in photography with a focus on sports for his job. It was only appropriate that DeAnna and Cody brought their fishing gear for the photoshoot since he proposed on a bass boat! And DeAnna might have bribed him a little bit that after photos he could spend some extra time at the lake to fish – haha! The happy couple met at Tennessee Tech University, and both love to perform – her as an actress (and champion clogger!) and him as a member of the Music City Drum Corps.  But this engagement shoot was much more low-key than all of that, although there was plenty of play involved, too.
DeAnna knows Lindsey (Lindsey + Taylor) through the playhouse & Lindsey was so kind enough to share her raving reviews with her about her experience with us. We met with Cody and her and we connected with them immediately and are so excited for their 2018 wedding. DeAnna and Cody are getting married at the Saltbox Inn in Cookeville next March, and we can’t wait!  Have y’all seen this venue before? This is the first time we will have the pleasure of having a wedding there and it is such a charming location and totally fits their personalities.

"Choosing Ivory Door Studio for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. "
