Lindsey and Taylor met during their freshman year of college at Middle Tennessee State University back in 2009. They quickly became friends during the choir class when they would make funny faces at one another to see who would laugh first. Both of them joined the Greek System at MTSU; Taylor joined Sigma Pi & Lindsey initiated into Alpha Omicron Pi. The two houses were paired together for Homecoming and they spent many nights learning the fight song routine and building their float for the parade. Taylor is an incredible DJ and Lindsey is an actress; one summer he volunteered to run sound at the show she was working on. Since he realized what a catch she is, he was smart and asked her to be his girlfriend. Over the following years they went through college together, attended formals, performed concerts, and studied late night at Donut Country. Lindsey even did an internship at Disney World (woot woot! just like I did!) and they made their relationship work long distance. With all of these years passing by, these two were ecstatic to finally officially be married and we were so honored to be a part of their day.
And their wedding day was absolute perfection! The girls got ready in the upstairs of the country club while the guys had their own space downstairs. Lindsey bought all of her girls cute swag bags with sunglasses and robes — cute getting ready photos are our favorite!! When we arrive on a wedding day our brides always have a bag of their details ready for us to document. One of the best parts of highlighting these details is that we get to capture the legacy of the story each items tells. For Lindsey, she had lace from her mothers wedding dress, something blue from her grandmother, she wore vintage rings from the women in her family. Lindsey’s mother designed and attached adorable blue bows to her wedding day shoes. And can we all just applaud Taylor on his suit choice? We’re now accepting any and all grooms who want to rock a tux like this!
Taylor & Lindsey’s first look was beyond adorable! Before their first look, they read letters from one another. His reaction to her was nothing short of aw and amazement that he was about to marry this gorgeous, smart & talented woman. They exchanged gifts during their first look, Lindsey’s eyes lit up when she saw the Tiffanys bag — lets be honest, she might have let out an adorable squeal. Watching the two of them open one anothers gifts was so sweet, but the best part was watching them watch one anothers reactions to what they got each other. They were both so excited to see one anothers reactions. After their first look, Stones River hooked us up with Golf Carts (shoutout to them for being awesome, as always!!) so we could go around the greens for photos.
Their reception was an absolute party! And how could it not be when the groom is a DJ? Their family hit the dance floor followed by his fraternity brothers & her sorority sisters. It was great to see some familiar faces among the Sigma Pi men! We photographed Taylor’s fraternity brother, Chris’ wedding in 2015. And Lindsey was unintentionally surrounding herself with AOII wedding vendors – such a funny coincidence! Her planner at the Country Club is an AOII & as y’all know I’m also in Alpha Omicron Pi! Several of her bridesmaids were also in her chapter.
