JESSICA + DAN
DRAKEWOOD FARM | GOODLETTSVILLE, TN

Okay, y’all, we’ve got something extra gorgeous for you today! We are so thrilled to have been out at Drakewood Farm for the wedding of this sweet couple! Huge shoutout to our past bride, Jaqui, who recommended her childhood friend come to us for her wedding day memories! Jessica attended college locally at Belmont and Dan went to school up in Iowa. So… if they didn’t meet at college, how on earth did they find one another?

Dan had recently moved to Nashville from Chicago and was getting acclimated to the Tennessee lifestyle, little did he know moving to this new city would change his entire future! The first time Jessica met Dan was at Bar Louie in Nashville, she thought he was cute & kind and naturally, he felt the same way & got her number from their mutual friend. After a few tries, he got her to agree to a movie date which naturally led to more dates following.

It came time for Dan to make another huge life change and move to Oklahoma, and Jessica agreed to take on the new adventure along his side. The two had planned a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona over Easter and were staying at a time share near Camelback Mountain. A few days into the trip, he suggested they try to tackle climbing the mountain. When they finally reach the top after a rather vigorous climb (y’all, this was no stroll up a nice path – it was an intense climb, haha), Dan suggested they have someone take their picture to remember the moment & their exhausting climb to the top. She handed her phone to someone walking by & when she turned back Dan was on one knee holding out the ring that he had chosen just for her. Cue the awww’s!

In May they traveled to Nashville for a family event & while they were in town they looked at a few venues. Naturally, they fell in love with how beautiful Drakewood Farm is & they absolutely loved the all inclusive elements that the venue provides since they were planning from out of state.

This destination wedding in Nashville was an absolute dream! Burgundy and navy is such a beautiful color palette that works for several seasons. Pair it with some rose gold details and it’s totally stunning! Jessica & Dan chose to exchange gifts to one another during their first look, which we highly recommend! It’s so fun for each of you to see the others reaction because you took all the time to carefully select the perfect gift for your fiance. The ceremony was so sweet and everyone headed into the reception ready to party! The dance floor was packed, the catering by CRAVE was delicious – especially the gouda mac n cheese! They capped the night off with a stunning sparkler exit before heading to the Gaylord Opryland for the night.
