A Florida Adventure for the whole Family!

Last week we made one final trip down to Florida with Timea while she is with us. It was her Spring Break from school so it was the last long getaway we will have with her before she leaves for Slovakia in June. We had several adventures with Mahlia’s family, explored SeaWorld Orlando, & stopped by some of our favorite spots around Disney World.

We went to SeaWorld & Peyton (1 of Mahlia’s younger sisters) joined us! She and Timea get along swimmingly & have a total blast together. One of the first things that we headed to do was the Penguin exhibit. Which is Mahlia’s absolute favorite animal to visit at the zoo — unless there are Panda bears there!

While we were at SeaWorld we saw one of the final Shamu shows. These are shows that we’ve seen since we were children and are really going to miss spending time with these amazing creatures. Mahlia grew up watching Free Willy basically on repeat and can remember visiting Shamu and Keiko as a child.

Easter was a very eventful day for all of us! We began the morning at church, the headed to visit on of our brides & grooms (Adam & Erynn) to deliver their Wedding Collection and chat with them for a bit.

After we said goodbye to the newlyweds we met up with our dear friend and old roommate, Ricky, for lunch at Miller’s Ale House. It was great catching up and finding out more about his upcoming wedding day! While we were having fun with friends, Mahlia’s family took Timea to visit some adorable bunnies.

They texted us pictures of their bunny fun, we reminded Timea that she definitely can’t take that home on her carry-on! haha After lunch we met back up and headed to EPCOT to meet up with Pat’s aunt who happened to also be at Disney World too! Perfect timing!!

The next evening we met up with our friends Robert & Connie to walk around Disney Springs and then watch the incredible fireworks display at Hollywood Studios – Symphony in the Stars. It was hands down the best fireworks show we’ve ever seen! The fireworks were perfectly synced with the musical scores.

We went on a fun morning trip to 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and got to meet Tigger, Pooh, Mary Poppins, Alice, & the Mad Hatter for a breakfast extravaganza. In the lobby of the hotel they also had several amazing chocolate Easter egg creations. Amazing works of art.

When we went to Magic Kingdom we took some very fun photos while on rides together. Timea is really great at driving the go karts there — who needs to steer?!

The last thing we did was go visit the big boss man — Mickey Mouse!! We got a lot of time one on one with Mickey and it was a great last Disney experience as a family this year.
