FEATURE FRIDAY | FRIENDS

Welcome to another installment of Feature Friday, in which we share with you some of our favorite Movies & TV shows!  When we first were dating one of the things we bonded over was chatting about some of our favorite shows.  We’ve found that is the same for a lot of our couples too!  So, every now and then, we will showcase a different movie or show and share some of the reasons why we recommend it and the things that we really like about it.  So be sure to tune in, check out some of our favorites, and maybe even turn it into a date night with your fiance!  Make dinner or order in and tune in to watch one of our favorites.
This week: Friends.
St. Henry Catholic Church Spring Wedding in Nashville Tennessee
What is there to say about Friends that hasn’t been said by thousands of other writers?  It makes basically every list of “Best Sitcoms Ever Made,” and rightfully so.  It’s hilarious, it’s touching, it has great characters who grow and develop over the course of a decade, and – you’re probably noticing a trend in these posts – it’s extremely quotable.
Breaking down who the Friends are and what they do seems pointless.  You already know Chandler, Joey, Monica, Phoebe, Rachel, and Ross, even if you’ve never seen the show.  And you love them if you have.  So let’s talk about some specific favorite episodes instead.
“The One With The Embryos” (Episode 0412).  I don’t know if there has ever been a funnier scene in TV history than the game show Ross makes up to decide who gets the girls’ apartment.  The episode’s title comes from Phoebe’s adventures at the fertility clinic, but it’s truly at it’s best when the boys and the girls try to answer Ross-penned trivia questions about the other team.  In the nearly two decades since this episode airs, how many times do you think you’ve screamed (or wanted to) “THAT’S NOT EVEN A WORD!!!” at someone?
“The One Where No One’s Ready” (Episode 0302).  Probably the greatest “bottle episode” (an episode where, usually due to budget constraints, everything happens on a single set) ever made.  Ross is trying to get the gang out the door for a benefit at his museum while Monica obsesses over an ex, Chandler and Joey fight over cushions and clothes, Rachel can’t decide what to wear, and Phoebe “gets the hummus.”  The new couple of Rachel and Ross have their first major blow-up that Ross manages to fix by almost drinking fat.  Yep.  Really.
“The One WIth The Blackout” (Episode 0107).  “I’m trapped.  In an ATM vestibule.  With Jill… GOODACRE!”

"Choosing Ivory Door Studio for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. "
