3 Things You Didn’t Know About Us

Today we are sharing one of our readers favorite subjects (although, honestly, we don’t see what’s so interesting about us – haha) 3 Fun Facts About Us! This entire post is just about us! Best part? These are totally random and have nothing to do with Ivory Door Studio business! These are just about us & our relationship as husband & wife and best friends!

Daredevils? Ha, as if!

So many people have bucket lists filled with adrenaline fueled activities. The first night we spent talking with one another we made a little bit of a game of who is more cautious. Sounds lame, right? Honestly, it was. But, we had a great time laughing & discovering that neither of us wanted anything to do with thrill rides (ironic, since we met while working at Disney World!), we don’t want to go skydiving, & swimming with sharks sounds like absolute torture. Now, that’s not to say that we don’t like to have adventures. We totally do! Ours are just incredibly tamed down from those thrill-seekers of the world. Which, for us, is perfect. It means we always agree (Well, on cruise excursions at least).

Teleportation & Time Travel

One of our very favorite ice breaker questions to answer is if you had a super power, what would you want it to be? It doesn’t take long for either of us to immediately know what power we would want. Both of us really enjoy the Marvel Universe & even DC (depending on the movie). So, our super power wish? It’s a toss up between Teleportation & Time Travel. We already love to travel, so being able to go anywhere in a split second is naturally a very appealing prospect to both of us. And, if we’re already traveling across the world (who are we kidding, why not expand our travels across the universe! It’s our fantasy afterall.) it would make it even more fun to travel through time in those locations! Yep, we might have put a reasonable (or irrational, depending on your perspective) amount of time into thinking about this.

She’s Younger, He’s Not.

 

There is a 6 year age difference between us. Sometimes people think that is a lot, and it is – sort of. The thing is, that we have fun with it! Especially when we are on road trips and a song comes on the radio. Pat will say something along the lines of ‘Wow, this totally takes me back to freshman year of college,’ and then, without skipping a beat, will add ‘So, middle school for you’ and we’ll both laugh at it.
