MARIA + GEARY
SADDLE WOODS FARM | MURFREESBORO, TN

We’ve been working with Maria, her sweet mother, and her fabulous planner for several months & were so excited to spend the day with everyone at one of our favorite Murfreesboro Wedding & Event Venues, Saddle Woods Farm. One of our very favorite things about this Murfreesboro venue is that the guys have their own cabin to hang out and play pool in while the girls are next door in their cottage getting their primp on. It’s a perfect setup! Plus, the barn is absolutely stunning, which is what first caught Maria’s attention while she and Geary were looking at venues.

In the morning we met the girls at Evolve Salon and Spa in Murfreesboro, where the girls were getting there hair and makeup done. They had popped some champagne and made mimosas and the room was filled with laughter and chat about what they were ordering from Chipotle – yumm! After everyone was officially primped we headed to Saddle Woods for everyone to get dressed before going to the church! Maria and Geary gifted their wedding party with some really cool gifts as a thank you for being their for them. Once of the really cool things she gifted her girls were bottles of wine, every one got their own favorite bottle complete with a super cute tag! All of her friends were marveling at her amazing dress designed by David Tutera, y’all Maria actually found this dress online, tried it on & fell in love! Seriously, how crazy is that?! It is so rare for a bride to try on a dress she sees on Pinterest and love it even more than she did online. The necklace she wore was gifted to her from her fiance – how sweet is that!

Most of the brides family traveled from out of state to join the couple in Murfreesboro for their wedding, while Geary’s family were primarily local to Middle TN. The Embassy in Murfreesboro was the perfect spot to host all of their friends and family and was a great location for everyone to enjoy Murfreesboro and easily get to the church and reception venue. Two limos came and picked up everyone from Saddle Woods and took us to the church as Saint Rose Lima Church. Watching Maria walk down the aisle had both her and Geary’s mother tearing, especially when she herself began to cry as her father gave her away. Such a tender moment and definitely one that they will all look back on and cherish.

After the vows were said and rings were exchanged, everyone headed back to Saddle Woods to celebrate the couple! She and her father kicked off the party with a father daughter dance. And y’all know how much I adore parent dances, especially father daughter ones. And her dad looked super sharp in his classic black and white tux, and had everyone laughing at his delightful welcome to toast and speech where he recounted the first moment he and his wife met Maria and the first time them met her boyfriend, Geary. Toasts were such a delightful part of their reception and everyone loved hearing the stories and reminiscing about the the two of them. And there was plenty of laughter to be heard throughout the barn. The bar was hopping, the cake was a hit and the dance floor was filled – especially as ribbon wants were distributed at the end of the night. I loved how they let the guests have the wands a little before their grand exit which was such a great idea! Everyone, kids and adults alike, were having such a blast on the dance floor ribbon dancing! Definitely a great idea for those of you wedding planning currently! We loved it!
