Hello absolutely dreamy fall wedding at the beautiful Pick Inn Wedding venue in Gallatin, Tennessee! Y’all know I love me some purple, and Alisa & Matt did not disappoint with the subtle pops of Patone’s color of the year – Ultra Violet which paired flawlessly with 2 of my other absolute favorite design elements – succulents & greenery! Ok, ok, y’all will just have to see for yourselves. Plus, these two are such a rad couple and their friends and family are absolutely hysterical & super energetic. Wait til you see the large group family photo, haha, then you’ll completely understand.
Matt & Alisa have been together for pretty much a decade, ever since they started chatting in their AP US History class at Beech High School in Hendersonville, TN. Naturally, as I already mentioned they have a wonderful sense of humor so that’s what they first bonded over. They have a beyond adorable proposal story that you can ready about over here + see their fun downtown Nashville engagement photos – complete with multiple mural stops, woot woot!
Basically most of the morning was spent watching Alisa’s maid of honor, Rachel, try not to cry every time she saw her best friend looking all bridal. Which was marvelous because all the other girls found it being amusing. While the ladies were getting ready upstairs, Matt & his guys were downstairs hanging out playing some air hockey. Y’all, have I mentioned how fun & chill these guys were? We arrived, they were dressed & ready so they had extra time to hang out and legit play air hockey for like 10 minutes. Total wedding day rockstars!
Matt and Alisa originally came to us not planning to share a first look but over their planning process, they changed their views & when we began creating their photography timeline for the day Matt & Alisa let us know that they actually wanted to have that special moment together just the two of them (Ok, her bridesmaids may have been inside of the cabin watching and we may or may not have heard Rachel not so quietly bawling, haha). But, who could blame her! His reaction was nothing short of awestruck and even Alisa began to tear up when he turned and saw her.
One of my absolute all time favorite ceremony locations is beside a massive historic tree. So I was a bit smitten to see that they had chosen to exchange their vows infront of this really cool tree during fall. A lot of couples wait until after the ceremony to sign their marriage license, but Matt & Alisa actually made that moment a part of their ceremony which was a really unique idea & something I totally recommend other couples add to their ceremony.
From the moment they were announced into the reception all the way through their sparkler exit it was clear that every single one of their guests was truly enjoying the party. Some of the big highlight moments were when the Smores Bar opened (umm… yumm!!) & they had our epic awesome photo + gif boomerang booth which was a non stop hit the entire night. Plus. not only was it a special day because they were tying the knot, but it also happened to be Alisa’s moms birthday. They were so sweet & surprised her with a Nothing Bundt Cake & happy birthday. These two are all about friends and family, which makes a wedding day even more amazing. Congratulations y’all!
