Kristina and Jeff were recommended to us from one of their friends and we were thrilled to get connected with them because Kristina was planning the wedding from Shreveport, Alabama where she is a teacher. She was doing a majority of the planning while Jeff was away on deployment. Jeff’s aunt has a beautiful venue in Lascassas, Acorn Haven and it made the perfect location for them to say I do. They met, I bet you can guess – ’cause so many of our couples do – online!

Kristina and Jeff’s gorgeous rustic wedding at Acorn Haven in Lascassas, Tennessee could not have taken place on a more beautiful day! The November nuptials for this sweet couple was surrounded by love from family and lots of perfectly fashioned DIY touches, including table florals, sweet antique lanterns, and adorable “J&K” candy jars for each guest to take home. Kristina looked lovely in her flowing fitted white lace gown from David’s Bridal and her bridesmaids were oh so pretty in plum Vera Wang variations. Accenting the plum tones were florals of deep reds and pink. The guys’ light gray suits and purple ties completed this fabulous wedding party look.

One of the aspects we love most is getting to know our couples in the time leading up to their wedding. We quickly learned that Kristina and Jeff are laid-back, completely down to earth, and head over heels for each other! Having family share in their love and vows was the most important aspect of their wedding—which is why they chose Thanksgiving weekend to allow as many loved ones as possible to attend. We had full run of this pristine farm property before and after the ceremony, including it’s gabled white farmhouse, a turn of the century carriage, and acres of rolling fields. Just before the reception started, we were ecstatic to have a brilliant autumn sunset for our final romantic photos—how can you ask for more?
