Raina of Weddings & Events by Raina and I started thinking of ways to design an upscale Star Wars wedding design.

Embrace the Force and infuse your wedding with the captivating allure of Star Wars. We wanted to avoid the cliche obvious options of lightsabers and Yoda. Imagine exchanging vows up in the clouds with acrylic details and a circular backdrop, reminiscent of an otherworldly planet. The draping and backdrop can be found at Renowned Event Designs. Incorporate a color palette inspired, painting your celebration with chromatic hues and a lot of texture.
Venue Selection: The Galactic Setting
Select a venue that amplifies the intergalactic ambiance. There are so many planets in the Star Wars universe, which means you have so many venue options! Picture a grand ballroom with draping throughout or an outdoor forests like Endor. The choices are as vast as the galaxy itself. Your location becomes the canvas on which your love story and the epic saga of Star Wars converge. For this contemporary wedding design, we partnered with one of our favorite Nashville venues – Noah Liff Opera Center. Check out this view from the clouds, you may feel like your on Bespin!
Attire: Dressing the Part
Instead of dressing the groom as Storm Trooper, we used the color palette as inspiration for his timeless suit. He totally pops in this bright white evening jacket. The Black Tux partnered with us on the attire and our local shop, DK Suits, had these awesome accessories! Who says only the bride can wear white?! Using Padme’s white cape outfit, we selected this dress from The White Room. The clean cut is exactly the look we wanted for this contemporary Star Wars wedding. Engage your guests with thrilling entertainment straight from the galaxy. Can you even have a party without a live band?! Hello, Mos Eisley Cantina! The incredible musicians at Viva La Strings are the upscale Cantina band you’ve always wanted. Entertain your guests with a live painter to capture your incredible view and day.

Culinary Delights from Across the Universe
Craft a menu that takes taste buds on a journey through the planets of Star Wars. Food was made by Chef Penelopes. Over at the bar, Concoctions Bartending served up signature cocktails. After grabbing a drink, it’s time for a slice of cake made by Katelin Hayes Desserts. We are always wow-ed by her cakes. And this one takes… well, the cake! Serious heart eyes on this design!
Fresh by CarryAnn absolutely blew us away with her flower designs! Check out the centerpiece. All of the rich textures paired so well with the linens and rentals from Her Signature Events! The stationary and signs by The Artisan Abode complimented the rentals as well. We were all about the contemporary acrylic for this Star Wars wedding design.
