Victoria and Austin had an adventure of a wedding day! The weather had no idea what it wanted to do. One minute there was rain, the next moment sun, and then would follow a torrential downpour. But that didn’t damper the day one bit for these two. They smiled through it all, rolled with the changes, and in the end, married their best friend.
When we first arrived at Stone Gate, we entered the bridal suite to find the girls enjoying a light snack, drinks, and doing their hair and makeup. Victoria’s mom was busy creating their beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres in a side room. Everyone was smiling and enjoying the time together. This is what we love about photos during the getting ready process, bridal prep is such a fun and relaxing time for the girls. The men hung out together in the grooms space which featuring a pool table & large TV — of course, what more could they ask for? haha!
One of our favorite parts of their day was the ceremony. Victoria and Austin opted to have an unplugged ceremony. They requested that their friends and family be entirely present during the ceremony and set aside all phones and tablets and entrust that we would capture all of the little moments for them. Our couples trust us with these precious memories, and that is such an honor. We also love when we can capture the parents watching as their children join one another in marriage. And when we can photograph that moment without the loved ones holding iPads over the top of their heads it makes, naturally, a much more beautiful picture and memory to cherish. Unplugged ceremonies are becoming very popular among our couples and we absolutely understand why. Of course it makes the photos prettier that they receive from us, but it also guarantees that there are no distractions from the ceremony while is taking place. We found that a lot of our couples will ask us for suggestions on how to best have an unplugged ceremony. A few ways that you can let your guests know is through a sign in the aisle before they take their seats, in your programs, and we even suggest that you have your officiant remind them at the same time they room they are reminded to turn off or silence their phones.
Even though the weather wasn’t wanting to cooperate that did not stop us from finding a time to step out for photos for daylight, sunset, sparklers, and even night photos. While they didn’t plan to have an indoor wedding it turned out to be absolutely perfect!

What beautiful pictures! Thank you so much for capturing these once in a lifetime moments for Victoria and her entire wedding party. I absolutely loved looking through all of them. We had so much fun celebrating this special day with her, and I am so glad she can look back at these photos and remember all of the memories that were made! 🙂

Wonderful at how you capture the moments! I can not wait to see the rest of the pictures. There is everything captured from Victoria’s great- grandmothers pearls to wonderful sign Julia made for the unplugged ceremony, the bridesmaids natural smiles and the love in Austin and Victoria faces!!!

Victoria and I have recently become work friends so we don’t know much about each other’s personal lives just yet. After seeing these pictures I can honestly say that I have learned something new about her – the genuine love that she has for her husband Austin. The photo shoots perfectly captured their feelings for each other! If I lived in Chattanooga full-time, I would absolutely use Ivory Door Studio for any and all photography needs.
