MILLY + ADAM | GOODLETTSVILLE, TENNESSEE
When we find ourselves out at Drakewood Farms we are reminded by how beautiful Middle Tennessee truly is. One of the things that we love about this venue is their reception space. It is an open air pavilion which allows for a wonderful breeze to flow through the space & also (our favorite!) allows for a panoramic view of the beautiful sprawling fields that surround the 40-acre venue. Lately we have had the pleasure of photographing at Antebellum style venues often, which we are really enjoying because of all of the history surrounding the places. Plus, Drakewood Farms is all all inclusive wedding venue near Nashville, TN. This draws a lot of our couples because of the ease of wedding planning and the gorgeous views. Milly & Adam chose Drakewood Farms for just this reason; well, that & they happen to live only a few minutes down the road!
We have been chatting with Milly for about 2 years now, every since one of her best friends got married in 2015. Y’all probably remember Jaqui & Jason’s night ceremony at Farrar Hill Farms. So, they’ve been planning their wedding for quite some time & are crazy excited that it is finally almost here! Plus, with the crazy spring weather we have had this year we had to reschedule twice before finding a day that worked. But it was more than worth it! We ended up with the most perfect day for their engagement photos! Seriously, it didn’t rain & we still got an amazing rainbow!!
Adam and Milly have two cute little boys, Aiker & Lenox, who we were thrilled that they made a part of the engagement photos. We started off the afternoon with some fun family photos of them reading books, playing with bubbles & relaxing together on their family quilt. Then, since it was right around the start of July, we got to play with sparklers! Which, Milly & Adam discovered that Lenox isn’t much of a fan of – haha. After awhile the boys went off to play and we got a few photos of just Milly & her fiance together. We had a wonderful evening with all of them laughing, playing with sparklers & popping champagne in celebration of their union this September!
