November 28, 2019

… because you can’t have 89 bridesmaids

You’ve invited your entire chapter to your best day ever and know that a lot of them will be able to attend. Obviously, they can’t all stand up there with you while you are tying the knot but you still want to acknowledge each of them and their friendship.

Badge Attire

Invite your sisters to wear the badges during the ceremony. In fact, you may possibly be able to make subtle nods to your ritual within your ceremony itself. Every sorority is unique and you know your own ritual, so you will know best if there is something special you could include. They likely want to take them off their badges for he reception so nothing gets lost on the dance floor.

Ribbons and Flowers

One of our very favorite sorority nods that we have seen over the years was Anna Kate’s sweet note that she has for her Delta Gamma sisters on one of the welcome tables at their ceremony. She had her florist bring additional vases of her Cream-Colored Roses, Delta Gam’s flower, for the ladies to pick up and hold at their seats during the ceremony. If florals aren’t an option, consider selecting a ribbon in your houses color that they can pin to their shirt or tie around their wrist.

If your big & lil are there, don’t forget to grab the family picture too. Pro Tip! We get our sorority brides to do their group photo earlier in the evening before everyone gets all sweaty on the dance floor. Trust us, your sisters with thank you.

Let them serenade you & step together! It’s such a memorable moment that you only get to be the center of as a bride once!
