A Disney Lovers Scarritt Bennett Wedding

We were so excited that Chris & Janna chose us to be their wedding photographers & videographer. We immediately bonded with them over our mutual love of all things Disney. Chris popped the question at the Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella’s Castle and they immediately began dreaming of their perfect wedding. Little did they know at the time, Chris was about to be deployed which put a major delay in their wedding. So when it was finally their wedding day we were so thrilled for them to finally be able to take this next step together.

Scarritt Bennett has a wonderful space for both the men and women to get ready in. The men are on one side and the girls on the other. We always encourage the bride & groom to get ready in the same location when possible.

The week of the wedding we met Janna & her mother at Scarritt Bennett for her bridal session. It was an absolute blast walking the church grounds with them and finding cozy little spots for photos of her in her amazing dress.

Janna has been planning for this perfect day for years. With Chris being deployed she had already begun purchasing little things such as jewelry and shoes that she had to tuck away for years before being able to wear on her wedding day.

The ceremony took place in the evening, 2 hours after sunset, the glow of the candles floating in the vases was a beautiful detail that went perfectly in the chapel. The large organ pipes of Scarritt Bennett are the focal point of the architecture and the candles accompanied by the floral trumpet vases were the ideal addition to the ceremony backdrop.

Janna and Chris chose to have a Sand Ceremony during their vows. The vases they used were totally them – Disney font with Mickey and Minnie on the side of the square glass vase they poured the three colors of sand into.

The Saber Detail was ready for the recessional, creating this arch for the newlyweds to walk under. Of course, they had to stop them before they got too far, encouraging them to kiss before being allowed to pass.

Scarritt Bennett is known for the incredible architecture that can be seen on the campus. The high archways, the inscriptions, and the stone are all part of the reasons couples fall in love with the venue.

Following the ceremony, the couple & their families hosted a gran reception at the Loews Hotel in downtown Nashville. The decorating details were perfectly executed by the couples wedding planner, Creations by Debbie.

Their wedding guestbook was Disney themed. They discovered this cool and unique guestbook on Etsy. They were able to choose the colors, have it customized with their name & wedding date.

The Disney details don’t stop. You can see on the stem of Janna’s bouquet she placed Mickey crystals. Such a cute, subtle and sweet little detail that we absolutely loved!

A Disney themed cake complete with a Mickey & Minnie bride & groom caketopper and numerous cupcakes was one of the many highlights throughout the ballroom. They also had a candy buffet for guests to take home a sweet treat.

On their cake table was a sweet little glass slipper, just like Cinderella’s. And another cute Disney reference was inscribed on the glass – “To Infinity and Beyond” which is from Toy Story.

The catering at Loews was not only delicious but the buffet itself was a work of art and incredibly efficient too. The Loews staff is fantastic at their jobs – cooking, busing, and serving was all done seamlessly.

We are so happy that they were finally able to celebrate and have their Disney fairytale wedding & we hope they have a happily ever after for many years to come. They celebrated their marriage in true Disney-fan fashion by returning to Disney World!
