PANAMA CANAL pt. 4 – columbia
PERSONAL | TRAVEL

This time in 2014 we had the privilege to go on a family vacation with Mahlia’s family to the Panama Canal. We’re feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to share some of our favorite moments with y’all. We boarded a Princess Cruise in Florida and sailed to Panama, Columbia, Aruba, Jamaica, & Costa Rica for 11 nights.

Colombia. What a paradise. Disembarking from the ship we found a wildlife sanctuary just down the pier.
Cruise_151Mahlia’s grandparents are beyond adorable. We love when we’re able to travel with them. It’s hard for us to be able to see them often because they live in Oregon for most of the year.Cruise_150Cruise_149Cruise_148Cruise_152Cruise_158We spent hours inside the small compound watching as the birds, bunnies, monkeys, lizards, and various other creatures scurried around us freely.
They didn’t have a care in the world aside from diving headfirst into the trays of food.Cruise_160Cruise_164Cruise_162Cruise_161This shot truly encompasses the look of the city. It’s majestic.

All of these gorgeous birds were behaving so kindredly under the safety of the animal sanctuary.

All that is but these two parrots. My goodness, they were in the biggest fight. It was absolutely hysterical. They started their disagreement on this rope strung up between 2 trees, then proceeded to glide down the rope to the ground where the battle waged further. We can’t say that either one came out on top in the end but they certainly drew a crowd to their feud. Cruise_290Cruise_298Cruise_295Cruise_294Cruise_292Cartagena, Colombia
